It is time to Save Our Stages. We all would love to get back to performing live in the venues we love. As an audience member, we would love to see our favorite artists performing live in our favorite local venues.
BUT, we need to have those venues remain viable. Right now they are struggling to survive this shut-down.
Here is a piece of legislation: RESTART Act
When it’s safe to resume normal life again, we’re going to need live music and comedy more than ever. Please help @NIVAssoc with federal funding by supporting & cosponsoring S. 3814/H.R. 7481, the RESTART Act #SaveOurStages More info: saveourstages.com
Please go to saveourstages.com and fill out the form which automatically goes to your state’s representatives in congress.
The pre-written letter explains all the details. Just fill in your info and done.
As a member of the performing arts industry for all my professional life, I have had the joy of visiting many venues while touring with my artists. I have worked with presenters in all-volunteer, set up the folding chairs type of venues to Radio City Music, Carnegie Hall and other major performance venues. In this unique time, venues large and small are in danger. Let us, who cherish these venues, take a moment to send a message to congress and voice our concerns and ask for the help needed to keep these halls of culture open.
Thanks for your participation and caring.
