Conference Strategies –  Streaming and Live – Episode 003

Part One: Episode Description

So many of the conferences that were scheduled to take place in the coming months have been rescheduling their dates and some skipping this year altogether. And there are others that are holding firm on their dates but shifting to an online streaming conference. You may even find this to be true with some festivals as well.

So, in this episode, I’ll share my best strategies for navigating the conference scene so you can network with those in the industry with ease, confidence and professionalism. I’ll help you think about how to prepare your materials so you may take advantage of those conferences that offer streaming opportunities and still be ready for a live conference situation.

Join me  and subscribe to the Get Great Gigs Podcast as we navigate these crazy times and Get Great Gigs in whatever form they might take.

Part Two: News You Can Use

As part of this episode, I have a free PDF listing of many major conferences on the show notes page.
Here is another resource page for conferences featured in the Folk Alliance resources: https://member.folk.org/page/resource_conferences

Each conference you encounter, in any listing will have their current COVID-19 policies and schedule changes.

Thanks in advance for checking it out. Next week I’m interviewing Eric Lambert, Executive Director of APCA.com. If you have ever considered entering the college gig market, discover the live and streaming innovations APCA has put in place to help artists continue to get great gigs in the college market and some other markets that even I was surprised about. Join me next week for a riveting interview.

Stay well, be creative and keep smiling behind your mask!
